Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (KOEL)
Incorporated in 1946, KOEL is the flagship company of the Kirloskar group. We have four state-of-the-art manufacturing units in India that offer world-class service. The company has a sizable presence in international markets, with offices in Dubai, South Africa, and Kenya, and representatives in Indonesia and Nigeria. KOEL also has a strong distribution network throughout the Middle East and Africa.
Today KOEL is an acknowledged leader in the manufacturing of diesel engines, agricultural pumpsets and generating sets.
KOEL specialises in the manufacture of both air-cooled and liquid-cooled diesel engines and generating sets across a wide range of power output from 5kVA to 3000kVA. We also offer engines operating on alternative fuels such as bio-diesel, natural gas, biogas and straight vegetable oil (SVO). The “Kirloskar Green Genset” is the market leader and most preferred brand among customers in the power generation and telecom industry in India.

The Large Engines business group (LEBG) manufactures and markets diesel engines from 2,400 hp to 11,000 hp. The main applications of these engines are captive power plants (base load / critical standby - AMF or black start) and marine main propulsion.
Our LEBG division caters to the needs of various organisations such as the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd., Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. and consultants like Engineers India Ltd., MECON, DCPL, PDIL, Bechtel, Fichtner etc.
In the agriculture market, we fulfil the motive power needs of customers; essentially farmers, who require products in 3 hp to 130 hp in the global agri space. We manufacture a variety of quality diesel pumpsets and agri engines powering more than 25 applications across five sectors.
Our pumpsets have been greening the soils of India, Egypt, Africa, and Latin and Central America. We are the most preferred brand amongst farmers because of our reliable performance and fuel efficiency.
The Off Highway business group's activities are moulded according to the motive power needs of customers who require products from 20 hp to 800 hp in the Off Highway space globally. We manufacture a variety of quality diesel engines powering more than 85 Off Highway applications across seven sectors.
KOEL engines are the preferred choice when it comes to powering earth moving, construction, mining, fluid handling, material handling equipments and marine applications.
All our engines are emission-compliant and fulfill EPA Tier III / EU Stage III emission norms and are future-ready for EPA Tier-IV / EU Stage-IV.
